“Movement is medicine” isn’t just a phrase Rafal lives by, it’s the foundation of everything he teaches.

With over 15 years in the fitness and rehab industry, Rafal has dedicated his career to helping people move better, feel stronger, and live pain-free. His expertise and impact have been recognized nationally, earning him the title of Canada’s Top Trainer of the Year in both 2020 and 2024.

Whether you’re dealing with chronic pain, recovering from injury, or simply looking to perform at your best, Rafal’s approach bridges the gap between traditional rehabilitation and real-world strength training.

At LIFT Collective, Rafal specializes in Kinstretch, functional movement, and nervous system-based training that prioritizes control, mobility, and long-term durability. His programming is rooted in building joint integrity and foundational movement patterns first, so clients can train smarter, stay injury-free, and adapt to the demands of everyday life or high-level sport.

Over the past several years, Rafal has carved out a unique niche working with equestrian athletes, helping riders overcome pain, develop active mobility, and build strength specific to the biomechanics of riding. From spinal control to hip function and shoulder stability, Rafal’s methods help equestrian clients improve not just their riding, but how they live and move outside the saddle.

If you’re tired of being told to “just stretch more” or “avoid that movement,” Rafal’s approach will be a game-changer.

When he’s not teaching a Kinstretch class or coaching clients 1-on-1, you’ll probably find Rafal watching Disney movies with his wife and 2-year-old daughter, or planning their next magical vacation.

Based in Langley, BC, originally from Mexico City, I’m a certified personal trainer with a passion for strength, mobility, and injury prevention.

My approach blends mobility science (Functional Range Conditioning - FRC) with traditional strength training to help you move freely, train harder, and live pain-free.

My journey began when I was diagnosed with lupus and developed arthritis. Doctors couldn’t provide a clear path forward, so I had to create my own. I went from being a long-distance runner with tight hips and chronic joint pain to rebuilding my body through intentional movement and mobility work. It took time, patience, and consistency but today, I’m the strongest and healthiest I’ve ever been.

Now, I help others do the same. Through personalized 1-on-1 sessions, I guide my clients to “bulletproof” their bodies by combining strength, mobility, and functional movement patterns. My coaching style is compassionate, science-informed, and deeply personal because I know what it’s like to be in pain, and I know what it takes to come back from it.

Training Philosophy
